 Big thank you to everybody who came to our Sunday Session yesterday in The Chesterfield Lounge at Bar Orient. It was a really great vibe with exactly the atmosphere we were aiming at creating. The show also had the added surprise bonus of Basil Vdelli singing three classic blues numbers with us which was so much fun and totally awesome. We really loved performing in that environment and can’t wait for the next one on Sunday 30th July. Thanks again for the support, it means the world to us. “GUITAR SPA with MICHAEL VDELLI”

Winter Retreat - 19th July - 23rd July

VDELLI Pty Ltd are excited to present “GUITAR SPA WINTER RETREAT with MICHAEL VDELLI” located in the beautiful Western Australian bush at Myalup, just over an hours drive from Perth. 

If you're looking for an immersive, multi-day experience where you live, breathe and play guitar all day in a beautiful location, then we’ve got the place for you. 

Participate in intensive group and individual sessions over four nights and three days to improve your technique, play different styles, learn new tunes and supercharge your playing. 

WHAT TO EXPECT 

Michael Vdelli is the front man and namesake of the band VDELLI. Having spent more than 35 years mastering his craft, Michael has become one of the world’s leading exponents of blues/rock guitar and is thrilled to be able to share his knowledge with you. 

Over the duration of the GUITAR SPA, you will: 

1. Learn how to collaborate with the other guitar players to arrange and perform new songs 
2. Rehearse and prepare the songs for the studio 
3. Record the songs with Michael who will engineer and produce the tracks, guiding
   you all the way 
4. Be part of the workshop’s showcase performance by playing your songs on the final
   night at the local pub in front of a live audience 
5. Take home your very own CD of your songs 
6. And as an added bonus, you get to go behind the scenes of the VDELLI Podcast
   and be part of the show that will be streamed live from the workshop
7. 
   

GUITAR SPA OBJECTIVES 

The overall goal is to gain knowledge and experience playing guitar in the rehearsal room, in the studio and performing in front of a live audience. Understanding the nuanced differences in each of these scenarios is imperative to becoming a creative, competent guitarist and a valuable member of any band you play in. 

WHAT IS PROVIDED

You will be provided with: 

1. Home cooked meals – breakfast lunch and dinner (except for the night at the pub)
    
2. Beer, wine, soft drink and water
    
3. Somewhere safe and comfy to sleep
    
4. An experience of a lifetime with memories forever!
    
5. You will be totally looked after like family
    

WHAT TO BRING 

1. Your Guitar/s. Electric and Acoustic guitars are equally welcome.
    
2. Bedding and towels

Get to know each other a little bit over a few beers and form guitar bands based on mutual musical interests. This will be your line up for the duration that you will write, rehearse, record and perform live with. 

Sessions: Commence 19th July - 22nd July Depart: Sunday 23rd July 2023

 Hi Everybody, just a heads up that I will be playing this show solo acoustic, that is to say, without Ric and Leigh as they had prior commitments. I wasn't going to do the show but then I thought I'll have crack. So I'm looking forward to the challenge as I haven't really done it before. Plus I'll get the chance to listen to the great bands that will be performing on the night, which doesn't happen for me very often. So, can't wait! See you there, Michael.

Hey Everybody, our Guitar Spa Winter Retreat in Myalup begins next Wednesday and will culminate in a Showcase Session at the nearby Brugan Brewery, Wokalup at 6:30pm on Saturday 22nd July. Just to let you know that the LOGIC Pro X tutorials have been a real success. They are a lot of fun and we get a lot done in a short space of time which leaves one with a sense of accomplishment after each session. 

VDELLI are about to start writing songs for the new album, meaning more time using LOGIC Pro X for me. So I'm going make time for two more students a week as all the gear will be set up anyway.

 Tonight there will be a massive party at The Perth Blues Club (Charles Hotel) as we celebrate the 70th birthday of the iconic & enigmatic Pauline and her inexhaustible dance floor energy that we have all grown to know and love over so many years. We’ll be kicking off our set at 7:30pm and then Old Blood will be bringing it home from 8:45pm.
